Uhhh.
I actually started this batch waaaay before my last one, but only now finally got the guts to finish it it's been so long since I've focussed on textures and this kind of colouring. I wasn't particularly fond of what I'd started back then, so I forced these onto the back burner BUT THEN.

castelfranca went ahead and posted some really gorgeous icons and her awesome use of textures reminded me of my icons that were rotting away, so, I Decided It Was About High Time I Finish These. So I'm thanking YOU~her! ♥

OH AND YEAH. It's all SMAP. Eheheh. |D; But I don't regret a single thing! Fandom like Uh-rash-ee doesn't need me adding onto that icon-monster anyway, they've got more than enough. 8DD

I know you don't usually dedicate icon batches to people, but I'm doing it anyway. I dedicate this batch to spiralyte because not only is she my ridonkulous-and-long-comment-convo's buddy and general flailer and failer bb but she helped me come to the realization that I was being a dumbarse for always putting SMAP at the end of these things  I didn't want to intimidate the majority of the people checking these badboys out who were probably popping in for the uh-rash-ee and rainbows and has let me see the error of my ways. Thank you for threatening me repeatedly and kicking my ass. <44

This has been a long time coming, though, like, srsly. Some of these have been wasting away in my folder for nearly two months. That's crazy. DDD:

I've been so distracted by other things, especially specific icon batches (mostly hbd ones)--which kept dragging me away from my general batches (which I love to do).

Admittedly, this batch doesn't feel completely complete but it's just a way to get these out there since I like a lot of them for the most part. I realize it's kind of all over the place. My bad. I had a lot of really random kicks these past few months in terms of who I wanted to make icons of. 8DD

Let's ignore the fact I'm missing regulars like, the lovelylovely Eito ;A;

I don't think I have much else to say, strangely enough. OH! The Karei naru Ichizoku icons were mostly me getting overzealous (BAD TENDENCY BAD) and being all, Imma' make icons for each episode because fucking amazing drama is fucking amazing and it deserves that and so much more~! I finished E01 and got as far as making screencaps for E02 before I just lost all motivation because, making screencaps ACTUALLY KILLS MY HEART.

If I could stumble across a magical goldmine of screencaps of the drama, my life would genuinely be complete and I could rest in peace. :DDD

Ohwell. One day I'll get to the rest of it.

I don't think I have too much to say about this batch, except, I made, like, a bajillion of these yesterday during my break between classes (because I was sick and tired of reading about power relations and politics of the environment)--I made about 50 or so in around an hour, like, how the hell?

I don't mind, I've been really wanting to post icons, or really, just anything, so as to get back into the game (kinda'). I don't have the time like I did in the summer so getting used to that fact has been rather strange for the last few weeks. /GUH

Besides some of the new friends I've made recently through a meme (/WAVES HAPPILY), I would most importantly like to give a ridonkulous amount of x's and o's (and all my SMAP lovin') and THANKS to honeyswallow for the time and effort she put into scanning most of her SMAP Magazine. I've already done my share of flailing to her, hahah, but seriously; thanks to her, I've made icons from them (OBVIOUSLY). It took every fibre of my being to not make an icon out of every single picture from her scans (I downloaded 'em all, o'course, PSHAW, so now just saving 'em for future batches, MOSTLY INAPPROPRIATE STARING). :DD

/IS VERY VERY GRATEFUL AND HOPES YOU LIKE THE ICONS AND CAN'T BELIEVE SHE DIDN'T RAMBLE LIKE SHE USUALLY DOES--WEIRD--EXCEPT SHE TOTALLY DID HA

/GORO COMPELS YOU TO STOP & STARE

I've already had this batch done for a couple of days now (and I don't know if that's sad or impressive considering I didn't post my last batch that long ago).

EITHER WAY!

This time was really fun (I've said that every icon-post haven't I?), but I reallyREALLY mean it this time. I went all out texture/brush/text-wise, which started off pretty difficult (since I'm a fan of sincere colours and effective crops), but I think it turned out decently. I feel sorry for Aiba since he's who I first started with and I feel like the quality of his icons have been jipped because of that (but he's still prettiful, ne? There's actually one of him that's definitely in my top 5 for this batch).

Hohum. What else? Ah! As promised, this was Arashi-centric (I felt bad about last time although I don't regret focusing on Eito - they're the awesome). I made sure to do at least 10 of each member (no one was left out, hahah), so I hope you enjoy 'em. I had a hell of a time playing around, I think I'm slowly easing my way into my own style (can I say that already? This is only my sixth batch).
