We are SMAP aka SMAP is We aka I Made Icons

I'd had a handful of these done for a while, but a day or two ago I got a sudden whir  of inspiration (&desire!) to make icons and the more and more I made, the more I realized, These are all SMAP-centric, aren't they? so I decided then and there I'd just make an exclusively SMAP icon-batch because there's never enough SMAPPIE love <4.

And yuh, photoshop has finally decided to let me make successful gifs so I played around and made just two (FOR NOW), I wanted to make more, trust me, but now that it finally works, I'm gonna' be going through my videos and whatnot, looking for more gif-able moments it seems, hahah. YOSH. /CAN'T WAIT

Hm. I think that's about it for now, mucho (and numerous) thanks for all the awesome comments I've been getting about these--it makes me so sad to see how small (in comparison to Uh-rash-ee, KAT-TUN & even NEWS) the SMAP fandom on lj is (which is why I think I've been so focussed on SMAP lately and making icons and writing fanfics--it's so tightknit and everyone who's been contributing to the SMAP fandom, honestly, you guys rock :DD).

P.S. Just credit me as so (credit user: dictionarysays  ) when taking these badboys, yanno, the usual, hahah.

Okay, so I only realized after this badboy was posted that the gifs were too big for lj-use (yeah, I know, I checked in the beginning of making 'em but apparently not after d'oh!). So I've cut 'em down and made 'em suitable for lj-use, just in case people ended up being interested (I know I'll be usin' 'em, sooo, it's handy). Hahah, I love Arashi too (like, they were my first Johnny's love--but the fandom, it's so LARGE--SMAP deserves at least the same amount if not somuch more <4). Like, I know it helps that they're relatively young and boy-ish and whatever but so are SMAP (if anything, they've gone from gangly, lanky, hot, cute boys to how-the-EFF-do-you-manage-to-look-that-good men. I could go on for days about this so I'll stop here, hahah. :DD

I joined late, too, hahah, it's been about half a year and I STILL feel like I don't know enough about these boys (it doesn't help that there's so much raw out there that I can't possibly understand until I magically learn fluent Japanese). There's so much out there, though, there's the index of JE videos, translations, 'fics, icons, scans, pure awesomeness pretty much--& the people in the SMAP fandom are really welcoming and are always willing to spread the SMAP-love. /SMILES

Just through conversations with fellow SMAP-lovers, I've learned a whole lot, hahah.

Thanks for letting me know which ones you took (that's a lot--that rocks /EEEEE). :)

Me too! Its because of Arashi I'm branching out to other Johnny's...well really just SMAP now and casually listen to some NEWS. Yes SMAP does deserve so much love! After all, they're the ones that started the whole 'having their own variety show' thing. Omg! I know right? And they look like they actually eat! These good looking men have a nice healthy set of meat on their bones. XD

Haha. Yea this language barrier is the worse. Although I still download the raws (sometimes i realize there's no subs after i've watched about 10 mins of the show...) Awww fandoms <3 Such lovely places~ I shall try to converse more, without being a bother of course ^^

Branching out is very good! I started doing a lot of that too after Uh-rash-ee (although I find I can't get completely behind groups like NEWS or KAT-TUN--I like specific members but when compared to SMAP/Arashi/TOKIO/Kinki Kids/etc. they're too boring on shows and all).

SMAP indeedly does. Thankfully they get plenty of it in this awesome community, and to quote coeur_delanuit when we were talking about the exact thing: 'We're little but we're loud!'. That sums it up perfectly and there's total benefits to having a small/tightknit/lovely community like this, hahah. :)

Um and yes! SMAP eats! Like, omg, some of these Johnny's really need to get force-fed here (I think Shingo-chan should go on over and give 'em some advice). Sure, Shingo usually gets thicker around the middle when he's not doing a drama or something but that's fine with me! He's human (except for the fact he's not because he totally is too cute for words and mucho cuter than a man his age really should be).

SMAP are variety kings. They're all so hilarious and cute and themselves and they actually pee because apparently idols aren't supposed to use the bathroom or anything (they really blew a lid on the whole 'idols are perfectly perfect' thing and have humanized the ridiculous ideal that comes with being a Johnny).

You know what's awesome about watching raws, though? Eventually (hopefully sooner than later), they'll get subbed by lovelylovely people and it'll be that more awesome to watch after not having completely understood the first time around. At least. That's how I deal with the pain of not understanding all their jokes and cute moments. /D'AWWW

You know, now that I think about it...I don't think I ever saw any shows with NEWS. I just watched the Weeeek PV and got (kinda?) hooked from there (plus knowing Ryo from a drama helped). Listened to a few tracks, downloaded 1 concert, but barely saw any of their PVs. After watching the Sakura Girl PV, i got kinda turned off. Lol. I kept their songs though, just haven't been following them...

Oh KAT-TUN...never heard/saw anything from them. I feel bad for them though -- a random person at a bookstore told me something like, "don't listen to them. they're not good at all." I was like "um...okay..." and just slowly walked away. Like dude! That's not nice. To each their own.

Lol. Yes yes, i remember reading that somewhere...oh Shingo! Sometimes I forget we're not in the same age group (he's just too cute!!) Lol. Yes, I think he should and maybe show them how to cook a few good dishes. You know, I would think Ninomiya would have more meat on his bones since his favorite food is(was?) hamburgers...then again, they did have to force him to eat on one of the shows...

I never thought of that...about the raws. I always thought, "I should start learning Japanese so that I can sub things others didn't. Help the fandom." I think I've said that for about a year...gotten nowhere. Lol. But Yes! I'm extremely grateful to subbers! (although i don't really like giving up an arm & leg to join their comms, but rules are rules. lol) They help extend the looooovvveeee. <3
