lol, this comment is super late but at least I can tell you I've managed to read the fic three or four times so far and enjoyed it each time all the same. :D because when I said that I LOVE absurd stuff, it was an understatement, especially when we're talking about this kind of absurd stuff where things are completely whacky but make perfect sense inside the fic universe. it's my favourite. like, really, like, oh my god.
it was amazing how the superpowers matched the members and in general I think the writing captures their characters very well in this quirky way. Shingo the pervert was so natural about it [convincing Kimu to go commando - I think we have some common interests there, Shingo!], Nakai that suddenly became long was perfectly annoying. Tsuyopon and Goro were really sweet throughout the whole thing, especially Goro in his very Goro way [and don't ask me what that's supposed to mean, Goro is one big quirk on his own even without superpowers] because I'm recently flooded with love for Goro all over again. I thought while reading that Kimu doesn't need any superpowers because he already has one of reducing people to incoherent puddles of goo [as if there existed coherent puddles of goo...] and then bam! you actually make that into his superpower. :D I'm totally with Nakai on how is that different from usual.
btw, I really liked the form of this fic, how it's made of those short scenes, and the fact that they're divided with all the superherostories like sounds is cute. uhm, I think this comment is very not in order and all over the place, but whatever. ;)
there's a lot of completely pointless things they do, like getting Dragon Quest to Shingo's apartment or the underwear guessing game [while it's not really guessing because Shingo can see it and lol at Nakai and his thongs], but they didn't actually strike me as pointless when I was reading for the first time. I suppose they just perfectly fit the story and I embraced them together with the whole superpower thing. I think what I'm trying to say here is that not making sense makes perfect sense to me.
the Kimu/Nakai was very subtly inserted and I almost forgot about it by the time I got to the 3rd part - or I just take for granted that Nakai has hots for Kimu and who hasn't? and it seems so natural I don't pay much attention to it, either way, I didn't really expect for them to actually get something done about it. so the ending took me a bit by surprise but it was such a good and oh so good a surprise! :D basically, I'm totally in love with it, the whole part from BAM! til the end is so lovely and sexy and adorable and ohmygod yes. because Kimura’s superpower is definitely kissing and I'm thinking, but I'm sure it's more than kissing, and this The next morning Nakai’s humming Serori off-key.
“Somebody got laid.” A prop pineapple zooms across the room and clobbers Shingo upside the head after he says that (Tsuyoshi's moved up to bigger fruit). is just pure win and makes me grin like an idiot.
I don't think I'm expressing my love properly or expressively enough, because my *flail* is somewhere on vacation or I dunno what, so I'll just say it explicitly: it was fucking amazing. really cute and really quirky and with the quirk so well done, I couldn't not love it. I'll be definitely coming back to read it when I need something to cheer up. ♥
